Whatever time of year you visit, the nature of Dumfries & Galloway is always spectacular. With four National Nature Reserves, three National Scenic Areas and a host of attractions and events that take you close to the natural world, it's easy to discover the fascinating nature of Dumfries & Galloway.

Let your imagination transport you back through time by discovering the historic attractions that pepper the landscape. Fortified towers, ancient standing stones, churches, monuments and of course castles that still stand proud, having kept watch over the landscape for centuries.

You can discover how to make beer and whisky, how salmon is smoked and ice cream created. You can enjoy a lesson in aviation history, imagining the exhibits soaring high in the skies above, or take in the views at the very edge of Scotland.

The farmhouse has been recently redecorated and refurbished.

The large house benefits from a country kitchen/diner with everything you would expect in such a kitchen; oil fired Aga, microwave with grill, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine,full range of pots, pans and utensils and a digital TV. There is a large table to accommodate 4 for dinner in comfort with views over the fields. Next door there is the quiet sitting room. Choose to read a book from the well-stocked shelves, play cards, board games or maybe do a jigsaw puzzle. Off the back hall is the downstairs shower room, toilet and basin.

The main lounge has 2 large comfy sofa's, digital TV, DVD player (bring your own films for wet afternoons), Hi-Fi with DAB radio, cassette & CD player.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one double which benefits from fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers & armchair; it has its own bathroom next door with corner bath, toilet & basin. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and wardrobes with a separate dressing room with table, chairs and sofa and a bathroom leading off.

Downstairs off the main lounge is the conservatory, with French doors leading onto the patio and private garden beyond. On the patio is an outdoor table & chair set with BBQ for relaxing alfresco summer evenings.

The house has been fully equipped to a high standard ensuring everything is available for a great, relaxing self-catering holiday.

The house is heated by electric storage heaters. The water is heated by the Aga. All bed linen, towels and kitchen towels are included as is all electric & oil for heating and cooking.

Dogs are allowed in the downstairs of the house, please remember to bring their bowls & beds.

The farmhouse is personally maintained by the owners.
